Honored with “The New Great Masters” Award in New York
April 8th 2025

April 4th will forever remain etched in my heart as one of the most meaningful days of my life. In the vibrant artistic soul of New York City, I had the profound honor of receiving the international award “The New Great Masters in New York”, presented by the distinguished Fondazione Effetto Arte, based in Palermo, Italy.
The ceremony was held at the Sanctuary at Church of the Ascension in Brooklyn, surrounded by a remarkable audience of collectors, journalists, fellow artists, and passionate art lovers. Standing there—hearing my name called—was both humbling and deeply emotional. In that moment, I felt the weight of every brushstroke I’ve ever painted, every story I’ve worked to tell, every silent voice I’ve tried to honor, and every portrait that carries a fragment of resilience.
This recognition touches me more deeply than words can truly express. It is not just a personal milestone—it is a tribute to the courageous women who have inspired my work. My portraits are more than images; they are testimonies of strength, memory, and dignity. Through them, I seek to give voice to lives and histories too often overlooked or untold. My greatest hope is that these artworks offer inspiration and light to those navigating their own difficult journeys.
To be acknowledged on an international stage—especially in a city as alive and culturally rich as New York—reaffirms my belief that art still holds the power to move us, to speak truth, and to transform hearts. It motivates me to continue using my art as a vehicle to express the enduring strength and perseverance of the human spirit.
To those who believe in my vision, who collect and share my work—thank you from the depths of my heart. This moment belongs to all of us.
With love and deep gratitude,
Séfora Camazano
