Opening of “Female Portraits: Migrants” in Alboraya October 4th, 2025 On October 2nd, I had the pleasure of inaugurating my photographic exhibition “Retrats Femenins: Migrants” (Female Portraits: Migrants) at the Casa de Cultura of Alboraya. This very special project continues its journey, opening to the public for the third time, after being exhibited for ten months at the Museum of the History of Valencia and later at the Ibercaja Actur Center in Zaragoza. Each new opening represents, for me, an opportunity to continue giving voice to the women who are part of this work — courageous women from different countries and cultures who have faced difficult and complex realities in their migratory journeys. Through their portraits, and their own personal photographs, I aim to offer an honest and deeply human perspective on female migration, addressing a highly relevant issue with sensitivity and empathy. The photographic exhibition "Retrats Femenins: Migrants" (“Female Portraits: Migrants”), by artist Séfora Camazano, was inaugurated on March 7th by the Councilor for Heritage and Cultural Resources of Valencia, Glòria Tello. During the inauguration, Glòria Tello emphasized that this exhibition, presented by the Museum of History of Valencia, represents a unique opportunity to reflect on the reality of immigrant women, better understand their experiences and struggles, and find ways to support and make them visible in our society. She also encouraged everyone to visit the exhibition, which has free admission. The inauguration was a deeply meaningful occasion, with the presence of several women who were the subjects of the displayed portraits. These women, having found a welcoming home in this country, felt a strong sense of excitement and gratitude as they saw their own images proudly exhibited in the museum.
