“Respect” by Séfora Camazano Exhibited at World Art Dubai 2025 April 17th 2025 I am pleased to announce that my artwork “Respect” is currently being exhibited at World Art Dubai 2025, one of the leading international contemporary art fairs in the Middle East. The piece is on view at the Fondazione Effetto Arte booths (DB06, E06, E01, DB01) located in Za'abeel Hall 2 of the Dubai World Trade Centre. This powerful portrait is part of my ongoing series highlighting female resilience and the human capacity to overcome trauma. Based on real testimonies, Respect tells the story of Lourdes, a woman who survived over three decades of psychological abuse in a seemingly “perfect” marriage, and Rosa, a survivor of childhood sexual abuse who transformed her trauma into strength, becoming a psychologist to help others heal. ArtEXPO New York 2025: My Participation and the Premiere of 'Liberty' April 3rd 2025 Today marks the beginning of ArtEXPO New York, one of the most important contemporary art fairs in the world. Since 1978, it has been a meeting point for artists, galleries, and collectors looking to discover new proposals and connect with art in all its forms. Curated by Miguel Arce, the exhibition showcases a total of 22 portraits from "Female Portraits: Looking Back to the Past" collection, some of which were finished this year and are presented to the public for the first time. These portraits, which are contemporary reinterpretations of works by Joaquín Sorolla, feature anonymous women of various nationalities who have experienced some form of violence and wanted to share their stories. Four years ago, I had a planned trip to Dubai that, unfortunately, was canceled due to lockdown restrictions. This cancellation left a void in my mind, longing for the experience that eluded me at that moment. Learning about the Art Dubai fair provided me with the opportunity to redeem that pending trip, and it turned out to be a wise decision. My visit not only focused on the fair but also allowed me to explore the local culture and visit iconic tourist spots such as the Burj Khalifa and the old center of Dubai with its picturesque Arabian shops. "Female Portraits, by Séfora Camazano" begins its journey at the Westin Hotel in Valencia with great reception April 29th, 2023 The exhibition "Female Portraits", inaugurated on April 28th at the exhibition hall of The Westin Valencia Hotel, presents an artistic collection inspired by the works of the Valencian painter Joaquín Sorolla, created by the Hispanic-Brazilian artist Séfora Camazano. Camazano portrays women of various ages, cultures, and origins who have suffered some form of violence. These women, of different nationalities, have been forced to change their lives. "Female Portraits" presents them with dignity and elegance, without reducing their identity to the violence they have experienced.
