"Female Portraits: Looking Back to the Past" Opens in Bétera to Commemorate the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women November 8th, 2024 The exhibition "Female Portraits: A Look at the Past" opened yesterday in the iconic building of the Old Town Hall of Bétera (Vell Ajuntament de Bétera - Calle Mayor, 12). This exhibition, created by the Spanish-Brazilian artist Séfora Camazano, brings together 25 powerful portraits of women of different ages, cultures, and backgrounds who, at some point in their lives, have faced violence or injustice, leading them to transform their destinies. Inspired by the style and social commitment of the renowned Spanish painter Joaquín Sorolla, Séfora pays tribute to the women depicted, presenting them with dignity and elegance.
